The wait is over: DefconQ Happy Hour is returning to London!

After another fantastic turnout at our previous events, we're bringing the KDB/Q community together once again for an evening of great conversations, new connections, and plenty of laughs. Whether you're a seasoned developer, just starting your journey with KDB/Q, or simply curious about the ecosystem, this is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people in a relaxed, informal setting.

This time, we're delighted to be hosted by First Derivative (FD) of EPAM Financial Services, who have kindly opened the doors of their London office for the community. A huge thank you to the EPAM team for supporting the event and helping us continue to grow the KDB/Q community.

The past two weeks have been exciting. To mark DefconQ’s two-year anniversary, I hosted not just one, but two Happy Hours, one in Belfast and another in New York. Adding to the excitement, I joined a panel at one of the most prominent conferences in quant finance, right in the heart of New York. Since I was already there, I also spent some time working from my client’s office, a leading hedge fund on Wall Street. September is going to be a busy one. Just in time for DefconQ’s 2nd birthday, we’re hosting not one, but two Happy Hours, on two different continents! I’m thrilled to announce the Brews & Qs: Belfast Edition 🍻, hosted by DefconQ and kindly sponsored by KX.

Join us for a relaxed evening of conversation, community, and cocktails at the KX Happy Hour, a casual meetup for KDB/Q developers to network, swap stories, and share ideas. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just starting out, this is a great opportunity to connect with others who speak your language (literally).

This session’s conversation starter: the public preview of KDB-X Community Edition. We’ll chat about what’s new, how it might fit into your projects, and hear perspectives from fellow developers, all in an open, informal setting.
