DefconQ - The Home of the Q Ecosystem

DefconQ started with a simple mission: make Q easier to learn, understand, and master.

But the Q universe is changing. For decades, learning Q largely meant learning KDB/Q. Today, that landscape is expanding. Projects such as PeachQ, L, and Korze are exploring new implementations, runtimes, and ideas inspired by the same powerful vector-programming philosophy. And there is every reason to believe the ecosystem will continue to grow.

As the ecosystem evolves, DefconQ evolves with it.

Our scope is expanding beyond a single implementation. The goal is to teach, illustrate, compare, and support the growing family of Q-like vector programming languages, while continuing to explore the broader world of array and vector programming that inspired them.

That means tutorials, deep dives, practical examples, architecture, performance, new projects, community initiatives, and, most importantly, helping developers understand the ideas that transfer across implementations.

Whether you're writing Q, experimenting with PeachQ, exploring L or Korze, diving deeper into K, or simply discovering vector programming for the first time, DefconQ aims to be your starting point.

One ecosystem. Many implementations. A shared way of thinking.
